Had an issue with my furnace, not running correctly and I thought it was short cycling so I called Bear Creek after having another HVAC contractor looked at it. Charge me $150 and didn't really fix the problem. The owner Kevin showed up and was able to identify the issue had a short-term fix until we could get it fixed. Kevin was very knowledgeable and a nice guy and didn't even me for the short term solution. I would strongly recommend him!
Kevin and his team came into my old moutain home and helped me install a new tankless water heater and a new furnace. They ran into all sorts of unknowns at the house, my well line started leaking into basement and it was just the tip of the iceberg. Kevin stayed numerous days helping me fight problems that were not even part of his installation. He is one who you can say will have your back through thick n thin! He sticks to what he says, where most people would try to stick it to you for unseen work.. His instalation was very thorough and he made sure I was happy before he left. l sure appreciate you helping me fight the fight with courage and leadership. Thank you Kevin and Team A+++
Where can I start? Kevin is extremely responsive and knowledgeable. Prices are also reasonable for the quality of work performed. I had an emergency leak in my basement today (had a flight to catch in a couple of hours) and denver water was taking too long to shut the water off in the house. Kevin took time out of his day off to stop by my house and temporarily fix the leak so I could make my flight later that day! The professionalism is unmatched! I will be using Kevin and his team on all sorts of projects going forward. Can’t recommend highly enough!

Our Services

Heating, cooling, and plumbing services that keep Denver homes and businesses comfortable

We handle furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, boilers, radiant heating, water heaters, ductless mini-splits, indoor air quality, and plumbing repairs—everything you need under one roof.

Why Us

Clear recommendations before work starts, no pressure to replace when repair is viable

Denver homeowners and businesses face stress when HVAC or plumbing systems fail—unclear pricing, pushy sales tactics, and technicians who don't show up make a bad situation worse.

Common Challenges

  • Extreme weather amplifies system stress

Denver's temperature swings—from sub-zero winters to 90°F summers—push furnaces and AC units harder than moderate climates, accelerating wear and failure risk

  • Old equipment fails without warning

Furnaces and water heaters over 15 years old often break down suddenly, leaving homes without heat or hot water during the coldest weeks

  • Unclear pricing creates budget anxiety

Hidden fees, vague estimates, and surprise charges make homeowners hesitant to call for help until a small problem becomes an expensive emergency

How We Help

  • Honest repair vs replacement advice

We explain when a $300 repair extends system life 3-5 years vs when replacement makes financial sense—no pressure, just clear cost comparisons

  • Modern condensing boilers achieve 90%+ efficiency

Upgrading from an old 70% efficiency boiler to a condensing unit cuts gas usage by 20-30%, saving $400+ annually on Denver heating bills

  • One team owns your job start to finish

From initial inspection to final testing, the same crew handles your furnace, AC, water heater, or plumbing work—no handoffs, no confusion

  • Fast response during Denver's coldest weeks

When temperatures drop below zero and furnaces fail, we prioritize emergency heating calls to restore warmth within hours, not days

FAQ

Common HVAC & Plumbing Questions in Denver

Clear answers about heating, cooling, and plumbing services for Denver homes and businesses.

Emergency service call fees typically range from $150 to $300 for after-hours or weekend visits, covering the trip, initial diagnosis, and safety check. Repair work beyond the diagnostic is quoted separately. We explain all costs upfront before starting any repair.
An HVAC emergency includes no heat when temperatures drop below freezing, no cooling during heat waves above 90°F, active water leaks from HVAC equipment, burning smells or smoke from furnaces, gas odors, or loud banging indicating imminent failure. If the situation threatens safety, comfort, or property damage, call immediately.
A failing furnace in Denver's sub-zero winters leaves your home uninhabitable and risks frozen pipes, which can burst and cause thousands in water damage. Delaying AC repair during summer heat waves stresses the compressor, turning a $400 repair into a $2,500 replacement. Emergency calls cost 20-30% more than scheduled service.
Yes. We service furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, boilers, radiant heating, water heaters, tankless systems, ductless mini-splits, and plumbing repairs. One team handles all your heating, cooling, and plumbing needs—no need to call multiple contractors.
We use a cost-benefit comparison: if repair costs exceed 50% of replacement value and the system is over 15 years old, replacement usually makes financial sense. For example, a $1,200 compressor repair on a 17-year-old AC with 80% efficiency is better replaced with a modern 16 SEER unit that cuts cooling costs 30%. We explain both options with real numbers.
Water heaters over 12 years old risk sudden tank failure, flooding basements or utility rooms with 40-50 gallons of water. Corrosion weakens the tank from inside, and leaks often happen without warning. Replacing an aging unit before failure prevents water damage and avoids emergency replacement costs, which run 25-40% higher.
Yes. Many pre-1980 Denver homes use cast-iron boilers, baseboard radiators, or in-floor radiant systems. We service legacy equipment, source hard-to-find parts, and recommend modern condensing boilers when replacement makes sense. Our technicians understand older systems and Denver's historic building stock.
Yes. Furnace and boiler installations, AC condenser replacements, and gas line work require permits under Denver Building and Fire Prevention Code. We handle permit applications, inspections, and code compliance for all HVAC and plumbing work. Unpermitted work can void home insurance and create problems during property sales.

We have known Kevin Camblin for a decade. First of all, he is fully licensed and insured. I not only hired him to install furnace in my rental, last year we hired him to install new AC in our new home. The home builder had the copper lines preinstalled (refrigerant). When Kevin finished the AC install, he found and repaired the copper line the BUILDER accidentally punctured with a nail. (this leak was in basement ceiling). Outstanding workmanship on Kevin’s part and we went with an upgrade on our new AC - reason was it is more efficient and super quiet. Give this company a call. High integrity and competitive price. AVOID THE BIG CHAINS because the others have high overhead!
I have had terrible luck with furnaces in my homes. Not only has Bear Creek Heating & Air replace one furnace but two. My first home and then my second when I moved into a townhouse. In true emergency it was the dead of winter and woke up to a home that was less than 50 degrees. Their team worked efficiently to see was available and do it for a fair and reasonable cost. I would highly recommend this company! I've had my furnace now for a couple years and zero problems!
